Where are you based?
I’m based in the East Midlands, and my fee covers ceremonies within a 40-mile radius. I’m happy to travel further, with travel expenses reimbursed.
Is the ceremony legal?
A celebrant wedding is bespoke, beautiful, creative, and deeply meaningful, but it’s not a legal ceremony. You’ll still need to complete the legal part at a registrar’s office, which you can think of as the ‘wedding admin’. This can be done before or after your celebrant wedding. It’s entirely your choice. If you’d like to be ‘heart-married’ without the legal element, you can skip the registrar altogether.
Where can I have a celebrant ceremony?
Absolutely anywhere! Unlike legal weddings that need to take place in a licensed venue, a celebrant wedding can take place wherever you like. In a big top, on a boat, at your favourite nightclub, at the beach, in a pub, in your back garden, the possibilities are endless. Cool hey?
Do you travel abroad?
Absolutely. I love a location celebration. Drop me a line and we can discuss the details.
Do you do wedding planning?
I concentrate 100% on creating your ceremony magic so I don’t get involved in any other aspect of wedding planning. I can recommend other suppliers to you, but I don’t manage the day.
Do you perform same-sex ceremonies and ceremonies for gender nonconforming couples?
Absolutely. I celebrate all love, and everybody. We shouldn’t even need to ask that question, right? But sadly, we do. And the answer is yes, yes and for those that can’t hear it at the back YES.
Can you include children in the ceremony?
Of course! I’m delighted to include the small and not so small young people in your life in the ceremony and adapt on the day (or in the moment). Readings, singing a song, roly poly down the aisle, it’s all cute. The question doesn’t ask for this, but I absolutely do work with animals, too!
What do you wear?
I will wear clothing fit for a celebration, but I ensure to take some stylistic cue from you and your ceremony theme. I have floaty dresses, formal suits, evening wear and festival wear.
If left to my own devices I usually wear a block colour in line with my brand with some nice jewellery. A pretty kitten heel. I am always open to suggestions and discussing looks.
